Hyperextension Brace Thermofix Orthosis for Dogs
This newly developed hyperextension brace for dogs uses low-temperature thermoplastic from orthopedics to treat hyperextension of the front leg.
Turbocast softens at temperatures of approx. 70-80 degrees Celsius and is then placed around the dog's wrist and carefully molded. It then hardens and retains its shape. This means the material is 100% precisely adapted to your dog's front leg. It can also be optimally shaped in the area of the dewclaw, so that no pressure points can arise despite absolute fixation.
Such braces are often used in orthopedics to treat injuries, relieve pain, or promote recovery. This orthosis can be used for severe hyperextension of your dog's carpal joint. This ensures 100% stiffening of the joint.
For milder hyperextension, the Premium Brace with aluminum rods can be used as an alternative.
Please watch the video for instructions. Please do not stretch the thermoplastic in length or width, as it will otherwise no longer fit into the back pocket. If it is still too wide, you can cut off the excess material with sharp scissors.
Please contact your veterinarian before ordering and discuss with them whether such a brace is suitable for your dog.
The Thermofix brace for dogs cannot be returned once the Turbocast material has been shaped.
