A game of FYFE starts with all players having the same game board. During the game, they not only decide which wooden tokens to use but also how to score them. In each round, they have the choice of placing one of two wooden tokens. If this is placed in a row or column that does not yet have a scoring tile, one must now be placed immediately. The player can choose one of their remaining 15 scoring tiles for this purpose. As soon as the task indicated on it is fulfilled, it is turned over. The first person to complete a task receives extra points. In addition, bonus points are awarded if two, three or even four scoring tiles are fulfilled with the placement of a single wooden token.
