Living Forest

A mystical forest, source of peace and tranquility, is threatened by the devastating flames of Onibi. In Living Forest, players take on the roles of the nature spirits Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter and aim to protect the forest by extinguishing the flames, planting trees, or awakening the guardian of the forest. Who will succeed in driving Onibi away? In each round, players – each for themselves – reveal cards from their decks, which depict different forest animals. These helpful forest creatures bring various elements with them. However, among the animals, there are loners, of which not too many should be revealed at once. With the elements, players can perform one to two actions, such as planting trees, extinguishing flames, moving on the stone circle to activate various bonuses, attracting new animals, or gaining magic fragments. At the end of each round, all players must equally face the remaining flames in the stone circle. If they cannot ward them off, they must add fire monitors to their deck – grumpy loner animals that contribute no elements. Only with magic fragments can one get rid of them again! The game ends as soon as a person manages to fulfill one of the three possible victory conditions.

Living Forest is an upscale family game or light expert game with a push-your-luck mechanism and beautiful illustrations. Although all players work towards a common goal, only one person can win in the end.
