As the colonial territories of Europe's great powers expand further and further, they inevitably lay claim to areas where spirits still hold power – and once that happens, the land itself and its inhabitants will fight against the invaders.

In the complex and thematic cooperative game Spirit Island, players take on the roles of spirits and must protect their island from colonization by the invaders. Each spirit has different abilities at its disposal, but only by working together can they defend their home and maintain their presence.
