In this expert game, players must collect ancient collectibles from the orbit of black holes, where they were deposited as human waste hundreds of years ago for final storage. Among the 99 cards, for example, there are artifacts and relics that have powerful effects, as well as toys that, while not particularly valuable in the year 2642, are highly sought after by other species. In exchange, these offer their help to escape black holes that players are drawn into if the collected space debris exceeds a certain threshold. Black Hole Buccaneers is a fast-paced drafting game that, through various card effects, not only provides new situations and a lot of interaction with other players, but also some difficult decisions. In each round, everyone at the table plays one card and passes the remaining cards to their neighbor(s). Whoever can escape the black hole in the scoring phase of a round may score the collected items and thus gets a little closer to overall victory.
