Scavenger Hunt (Spielwiese Edition)

The quiet crack of a branch abruptly wakes you from your slumber. A cold wind blows through the treetops, rustling the leaves. The other animals of the forest are hunting again. You watch them flit past your hiding place. Your hunger is also growing. Choose the right moment to go hunting yourself. But if your instinct fails you, you'll quickly become prey in this scavenger hunt. In the card game Schnitzeljagd (Scavenger Hunt) players go hunting as forest animals. In each round, they must secretly decide which of the animals in their hand - bear, wolf, lynx, owl, or mouse - they will play. Starting with the bear, all animals are then called out one by one and hunt a weaker prey animal. Anyone who has the named animal face down in front of them must now reveal it and is eliminated from the round. Everyone else continues to play with the remaining cards until only one person is left or the third hunt ends. Whoever correctly assesses the other players and plays the right animals at the right time receives valuable food tokens and gets a little closer to victory.
